Catuaba root bark is derived from the root of a medium-sized tree native to the Amazon and northern parts of Brazil. It was traditionally used by Brazilians as an aphrodisiac which naturally increased libido and served as a sexual enhancement. In addition, Catuaba root bark is also used to treat anxiety, depression and nervous conditions, effectively soothing and calming one’s nerves. The bark can be boiled and steeped to make a tea or can be administered in tincture form.
